SUP Session Dates And Times

SUP Intro Lessons: $35/person/per class + HST

SUP Skill Builder Series: $35/session or $120 for all 4 + HST

Youth SUP Class: $135/person + HST

SUP Yoga Class: $20/person/per class + HST

Lesson Descriptions

SUP Intro Lessons

Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) is one of the fastest growing water sports in the world! In Canada, there is access to many waterways: harbours, lakes, rivers and oceans and there is no better way to explore them then by SUP!

This class builds the basic foundational knowledge and skill sets to SUP safely and with confidence. It is great for people new to SUP who want to learn proper technique, or the paddler who wants to refresh their skills by participating in a guided practice session with a certified instructor. This is a standalone class; students need only take one class but are welcome to take it multiple times to practice.

Prerequisites: None
Age: 10 years and older
Class length: 1.5 hours
Class cost: $35 + HST per person, per single class/date

SUP Skill Builder Series

Beginners or experienced paddlers alike will benefit from the many fun exercises our certified SUP Instructors will guide you through in these 60 minute session. These sessions are designed to build your abilities and give you the confidence you need to tackle greater challenges on the water. Sign up for one session or take all four and get a discount.

Session Skill Focus:

Session 1 – A technically proper, and strong paddle stroke
Session 2 – Balance on the board and efficient management
Session 3 – Turning your board like a Pro
Session 4 – SUP Safety, learn to help yourself and others on the water

Prerequisites: Students must have taken the SUP Intro Lesson or have equivalent skills
Age: 10 years and older
Class length: Each session is 1:15 hours
Classes: This program is designed to be a series of sessions, 1 through 4, with each session focusing on a different aspect of SUP and building skills in that area. You can take all the sessions and get a discount or pick and choose which session to take.
Class cost: $35 + HST per person, per single session/date, or take all 4 sessions for $120 + HST.

Youth SUP Class

Join us for 4 days of SUP fun in our Youth SUP Program at the St. Marys swim quarry.

Stand Up Paddleboarding (SUP) is a new and exciting way to get your kids out on the water. Our Youth SUP camp is a 4 day morning camp taught by certified instructors that focuses on safety and fun. Kids will learn about water safety, proper paddling techniques, how to confidently stand on their board and paddle forward, as well as reverse and turning strokes. At the end of each class they will enjoy games, races, mini tours and fun out on the water. Exploring the water and learning something new gives kids a fun new perspective. It’s a great way to keep children active during the summer months!

Prerequisites: No previous SUP experience required.
Age: 10 – 16 years
Class length: 4 hours for each of the 4 days
Classes: Run 1:30 – 5:30 pm daily
Class cost: $135 + HST per person

SUP Yoga Class

For those new to yoga, it is a wonderful introduction to one of the fastest growing holistic practices around the world.  For those that already practice yoga, SUP Yoga is designed to complement and enhance your existing yoga practice.  Instead of a yoga mat in a studio environment, you will practice on a Stand Up Paddleboard surrounded by water.

You will develop increased balance, core strength, concentration, stamina and confidence.  Expect to have FUN!  This class will offer a series of warm-up poses to gain confidence on the board, move into some kneeling, standing and balancing poses to challenge balance and build core strength, and finally back down to the board for stretching and relaxation poses to calm the body and mind.  After the SUP Yoga class, free time is available to play with some of the more advanced poses or to refine some of the poses you worked on during class.   The time is yours!

Prerequisites: No sup experience required but SUP Intro class is recommended
Age: 16 years and older
Class length: 1 hour
Classes: This is a standalone class; students need only take one session but are welcome to take it multiple times. The instructor walks you through modifications to the Yoga poses to increase intensity as skills improve.
Class cost: $20 + HST per person, per single session/date

Paddle Fit Intro Fitness Class

Here is your chance to get introduced to the world of PaddleFit and its training program through our fun and challenging introductory fitness class. We will give you a taste of the many benefits of training on the water that include: board skills, balance, endurance, strength and focus. Now is the time to start on your path to get on the water and achieve your training goals. This class is designed to accommodate all skill levels but participants must have some prior SUP experience.

Prerequisites: Students must have taken the SUP Intro Lesson or have equivalent skills
Age: 16 years and older
Class length: 1 hour
Classes: This is a standalone class; students need only take one class but are welcome to take it multiple times. Fitness exercises can be modified to increase intensity as skill increases.
Class cost: $20 + HST per person, per single class
